Community Protection Notice Warning issued to owner of anti-social dogs, Littleover |

Following concerns around dog fouling and a large number of loose dogs being raised on a park in Littleover, Officers worked with the local community to identify and gather evidence on the owner. This week we have issued a Community Protection Notice Warning to the owner of the dogs due to several reports of concerning behaviour and lack of control over the dogs, it was alleged, and witnessed by an officer that the dogs:
To that end, and the first stage of action, a Community Protection Notice Warning ( CPNW) was issued by Littleover Neighbourhood Team at the owners address outside the ward. The CPNW is a warning in this instance that behaviour must change and the dogs need to be under sufficient control at all times whilst in public places to ensure safety for all park users, to prevent distress caused to other dog owners and their pets and to prevent dog fouling.
The owner, must immediately: Should the behaviour continue, then the warning will progress to a notice, which can incur fines, and in some cases the seizure of the cause of the Anti-Social Behaviour. The warning will last for 12 months and is relevant across Derbyshire. Any breaches of the conditions above, either witnessed by the Police, or Derby City Council, or reported to the aforementioned can potentially progress the notice.
